What's new
- The walkable bridge (M4.2, #102): the bridge disc at the top of the spire, composited with the live sky through the same camera. The captain walks it (WASD, E to use) and ages with ship time.
- Navigation from the bridge: a nav console opens the galaxy map (M), built from the real catalogues: 5,685 stars within 25 pc, companions at their system's distance. Commit to α Centauri A and watch the boost, the 0.99c cruise, the brake and the arrival.
- The relativistic sky behind it all: 335k real stars, aberration and Doppler colour, the naked-eye exposure, and the forward glow of the cosmic background at extreme speed.
- L opens the log and K the codex.
Not yet
- The forward bubble-wall glow is off; it returns with the next simulation step.
- The standalone sky flight (
-- --voyage) shows a mirrored sky in this build: fixed on main (#107), in the next build. The view from the bridge is correct. - The bridge is v1 demo art; the final art is in progress (concept art).
- Pre-alpha and unsigned; see Try it for install notes.
